1) View the CVRA calendar. Look for an open date and contact the CVRA Sanctioner to schedule the date. We sanction our tournaments a year in advance, so reserve your date well in advance. If you need help in seeding the tournament draws, please inform the CVRA Sanctioner at this time so we can find someone to help you with this at a charge to be determined.

2) Sanction the tournament through the CVRA Sanctioner. The sanction fee is $50 plus $1 per entrant. View the long list of sanctioning benefits to the right.

3) Find sponsors and vendors for food, prizes, trophies, shirts, lodging and balls. Allow plenty of time for this, usually at least 3 months. Utilize any CVRA negotiated discounts.

4) Design and make a tournament application mailer and mail it 6-8 weeks before the tournament start date. The CVRA Sanctioner can provide you with a MS Word Document of mailing labels of all current CVRA members.

5) USA Racquetball provides you with a website to collect tournament entries via the internet.

6) The tournament draws are usually done about 3-4 days before the tournament start date. The starting times of all entrants must be provided to the CVRA webmaster on the night the draws are completed.

7) The CVRA will provide 1-2 board members at the tournament to ensure everyone is a CVRA member and collect membership forms and money for non-members. Additionally, these board members will type in all the match results into the USA Racquetball Tournament Reporting System.

8) The CVRA will submit all membership forms, membership money and match results of the tournament to USA Racquetball within 14 days after the tournament.

CVRA charges $50 plus $1/entrant for sanctioning. USA Racquetball and the CVRA provide the following long list of benefits for this fee:

• CVRA pays the USA Racquetball $100 sanction fee. CVRA gets rebated $50 IF all membership forms, money and results are submitted within 14 days.
  
• Advance promotion of your event in RACQUETBALL Magazine, CVRA website, and CVRA newsletter (deadlines apply)
  
• Exclusivity of dates to host an event as set forth by the CVRA
  
• Tournament application in CVRA newsletter (if space allows--deadlines apply)
  
• Microsoft Word Label Document of  USAR members as requested 
  
• Online search capability for obtaining state rankings by division to assist with tournament seeding
  
• Online submission of new and renewing memberships on a secure server
  
• Online verification of membership status of event participants and check-in reports
  
• The sanctioned event will be listed in the Online tournament scheduler
  
• Online exclusive tournament manager to build your roster of participants, capture members into the roster, schedule your event and submit results electronically
  
• Access to all CVRA negotiated discounts: Currently Ektelon is offering free balls (red,black,or blue), score cards, and draw sheets -- if requested in a timely manner. 
  
• USAR Rulebooks, membership applications, tournament result forms, sample issues of Racquetball magazine and other promotional material
  
• $5,000,000 General Aggregate per event liability coverage
  
• Secondary accident medical insurance for all USRA registered members
  
• Board member(s) to verify and collect USAR membership forms and money
  
• Board member(s) to enter the match results of all matches and post to the website
  
• Updates to each player's national ranking position within 14 days
