We’re excited to announce the 2025 Liberty University James River Open Racquetball Tournament, taking place April 11–12, 2025, at the LaHaye Recreation & Fitness Center in Lynchburg, Virginia. This two-day event promises to bring together athletes from across the region for a weekend of intense competition, community, and fun.
Hosted in partnership with Liberty University, this tournament offers players of all levels the opportunity to compete in a well-organized, high-energy environment while supporting the future of the sport. All proceeds from the tournament will go directly to support the Liberty University Racquetball Team, helping to develop collegiate athletes and grow racquetball on campus.
What to Expect
From start to finish, we’re planning an engaging and rewarding experience for every participant:
• Competitive play across multiple skill divisions
• Cash payouts and prizes for winners (payouts pro-rated based on entries)
• Delicious food provided throughout the event
• A friendly, spirited atmosphere designed to celebrate the game we all love

• Dates: April 11–12, 2025 (Friday & Saturday only — enjoy a free Sunday!)
• Divisions: Players may register for two divisions, with the option to add Mixed Doubles as a third
• Fees: Payable via Cash or Venmo at check-in

Due to facility constraints, tournament play will be limited to Friday and Saturday, so we’re making every moment count. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or just stepping into your first tournament, you’ll find an event designed to challenge, excite, and connect.
